e-books or ebooks are electronic versions of books which can be downloaded from the internet and read on your PC or hand held device. Originally developed to be compatible with screen readers for visually impaired, they are now the standard form for Kindle and other hand held devices and sales of eBooks now account for a sizeable proportion of online book sales.
